Net Neutrality ???

Click on the link and read the bill…I'm no lawyer but I'll bet lawyers wrote this and will welcome the change it may have in the internet here in the US. I'm against this bill and think anyone that reads it should also be…maybe even contact your representative and let them know how you feel about it too. And if you are confused like I was, read the part in the very front about amending the Communications Act of 1934 and then just skip to the last paragraph, read that and then think who will be writing the regulations… ladies and gentlemen, our internet will be changing soon if this passes.

This is their lead-in to the bill. "To amend the Communications Act of 1934 to establish a national broadband policy, safeguard consumer rights, spur investment and innovation, and for related purposes." The internet has been making its way through our jungle of laws, has been spurring investment and innovation for the last 10 to 15 years without government intervention. Now with the advent of Net Neutrality laws there will be new regulations the FCC gets to write which will be influenced by our Hugo Chavez loving Diversity Czar, Mark Lloyd. Even if he doesn't get to write the regulations he will certainly be instrumental in the crafting. Worse than him getting to write the rules the internet service providers have to play by, the bill just gives whomever the crafters are, cart blanch.
Have any of you reading this (if there is anyone that reads this) ever seen the government spur investment and innovation? Heck for that matter have you ever seen them spur anything besides more lawsuits.
You might want to read this article...looks like a good piece.
