Off to the races

Well we now have a 1990 page bill on the floor of the House of Representatives to create a law that basically says all Americans will have health care, not that all Americans will have the right to health care, not that we will help you get health care but that you WILL have health care or we will fine you…well how's that for a free country? This change thing working for you? If you don't wish to participate too damn bad, "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one". Do you know how I feel about that? Betcha don't…
I agree with the needs of the many outweighing the needs of the one.

I do take a little twist on it however, at least Commander Spock on Star Trek got make that choice for himself and Captain Kirk nor government bureaucrats ordered him to make that sacrifice. Now we are poised to take that leap into socialism where bureaucrats get to tell us what is good for the country and what isn't.

Know what? They may be right, sometimes, and they may be wrong, sometimes, but the truth of the matter is that the same thing goes for the people, they will be right sometime and wrong sometime, with the only real difference being…FREEDOM, I'm willing to accept the consequences of my actions if I have the freedom to make the decisions. I was in the military as well as a civilian police officer and always knew that it was my decision to step in harm's way to protect you, and I did that willingly.

There are millions like me that feel the same way. Some are more radical than I am and for those my heart bleeds, they are the ones that will resist the loss of this freedom and be dragged from their homes, imprisoned and exterminated by a government that will eventually say "if you won't contribute to the good of the many, the many can't afford to keep you, so you no longer have a place in our society".

Well they may not be more radical than I am cause I surely don't to sit in a cubicle for the rest of my life changing news stories to make them correct for the population (1984). I don't want to hide from the watchful eye of 'big brother' to have a relationship, or a cigarette, or a rum and Pepsi…oh that reminds me…
